*************Amendment 0002 (W912P521B0037 0002 Barkley Lock Operations Building Sewer Line Replacement)*********** This solicitation is being amended to extend the quote due date from Friday, 27 August 2021 at 1:00 p.m. central time to Friday, 03 September 2021 at 1:00 p.m. central time. ************************************************************************************************************************************************* Amendment 0001 (W912P521B0037 0001 Barkley Lock Operations Building Sewer Line Replacement) PURPOSE: The purpose of this amendment is to: 1. Provide the Government's response to the contractor's questions. 2. Site Visit attendee sign-in sheet are hereby incorporated as part of this solicitation. 3. The following Specification Sections (W912P52 _TSpecs_ Amendment 0001) is hereby amended as follows and as indicated in the Amendment 0001 Summary of Changes to Specifications. 4. FAR Clause 52.252-3, Alterations in Solicitation is hereby updated. PURPOSE : The intent of this Request for Quote (RFQ) is to award one (1) contract for the Sewer Line Replacement at Barkley Lock in Lyon County, KY. SCOPE OF WORK The original main sewer line that runs along the ceiling of the lock operations building at Barkley Lock and Dam needs to be removed and replaced with updated materials and following the same path as the original pipe. The existing pipe is known to have Lead Paint and will be deconstructed and removed in a manner to disturb the lead paint as little as possible. The Contractor will recycle the deconstructed pipe in a manner that meets all federal and state laws. The contractor will replace the deconstructed sewer pipe with new sewer pipe of equal size and layout as the original. The contractor must deconstruct and replace the sewer pipe to first unions below the operations building ceiling. Additionally, the contractor will be responsible of retrofitting the two guest bathrooms located on the outside of the lock operations building to meet the latest handicapped standards lain out in the American Disabilities Act (ADA). Site Visit: An organized site visit has been scheduled on Monday, 09 August 2021 at 10:00 am Central Time. REGISTRATION: REQUIREMENT TO REGISTER TO ATTEND SITE VISIT: Only registered persons will be permitted to attend the site visit. In addition to the below information, please also provide name of the firm, firm’s CAGE and/or DUNS number, and name and position title of primary point-of-contact and their telephone number and email address. Only two persons from each business entity will be permitted to attend. U.S. Citizens: To register, U.S. citizens interested in attending the site visit must submit a Nashville District (LRN) Security Access Form to the Point of Contract (POC), Contract Specialist Dellaria Martin, via email to dellaria.l.martin@usace.army.mil no later than five (5) business days prior to the site visit. If submitting the form in less than five (5) business days, the person may not receive approval for participation. Notification of approval or denial will be provided prior to the date of the site visit. The form is available as a pdf attachment on www.fbo.gov with this solicitation and is titled as Site Visit Registration Form. Foreign Nationals (FNs): FNs wishing to attend the site visit shall submit a completed LRN FN Security Form and legible color copies of two of the following documents: Passport (unexpired or expired), Certificate of U.S. Citizenship (INS Form N-560 04 N-561), Certificate of Naturalization (INS Form N-550 or N-570), unexpired foreign Passport with I-551 stamp or attached INS Form I-94 indicating unexpired employment authorization, an Alien Registration Receipt Card with photo (INS Form I-151 or I-551), unexpired Temporary Resident Card (INS Form I-688), unexpired Employment Authorization Card (INS Form I-688A), unexpired Reentry Permit (INS Form I-327), unexpired Refugee Travel Document (INS- Form I¬571), or unexpired Employment Authorization Documentation issued by the INS which contains a photograph (INS Form I-688B) to the LRN POC. These documents must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the site visit. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis but will be limited. NOTE: All participants are required to have personal safety equipment, i.e. hard hat and safety toe shoes. Contractors who do not have these items present at the Site Visit may not be able to participate in the visit.
