Acquisition Background: This procurement action is for a firm fixed-price supply contract for the fabrication and delivery for one (1) set of replacement components associated with the lower miter gate operating machinery. The contractor is responsible for providing replacement components under this supply contract which are: a. Sector Gear: Required one (1) b. Pinion Gear: Required one (1) c. Gear Bushing: Required two (2) d. Pinion Keys: Required two (2) e. Trunnion Block: Required one (1) f. Arm Bushings: Required two (2) g. Trunnion Block Pin: Required one (1) h. Miscellaneous items such as screws, pipe plugs, fittings and other items shown on the contract drawings are required The sector gear shall be of either forged or welded construction. The equipment listed above will be referred to collectively as sector gear equipment throughout the specifications. The installation of the replacement sector gear will be performed by the Government. Description of Minimum Needs for the Requirement: The main scope of this project shall consist of the fabrication and delivery for one (1) set of replacement components associated with the lower miter gate operating machinery with replacement components.
