Update FAR clause 52.252-31 ***********************AMENDMENT 0001 *************************************************************************************************** W912P521Q0007 - Barkley Spillway Gate Chain Maintenance Platforms This solicitation is being amended to extend the quote due date to allow the Government time to answer questions received during the question period. The quote due date is extended from Monday, 08 February 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time to Friday, 12 February 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time. FAR clause 52.252-3 has been updated. End. **************************************************************************************************************************************** This work consists of furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials and transportation required for the fabrication and delivery of new Barkley Spillway Gate Chain Maintenance Platforms as described in the Technical specification and drawings. The platforms will be comprised of steel angles, plates, channels, and bars. The floor of the platforms will be hot dipped galvanized as referenced in the Technical Specification (2.2.5.1). Guardrail will be incorporated on each of the platforms and will be comprised of steel bars and angles. The platforms will include vertical steel channels that extend upward from the platform that will be used to permanently suspend the platforms from existing structures at the dam site, as referenced in the Technical Specification. After fabrication, the structures are required to be hot dipped galvanized in accordance with ASTM A123. The contractor will deliver twenty-four (24) steel maintenance platforms to Barkley Lock located in Grand Rivers, KY. The platforms will be offloaded by the Government. No installation work is required, or allowed, in this contract. Refer to the accompanying specification for a full list of requirements.

PURPOSE: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation for the fabrication, assembly, and delivery of twenty- four steel maintenance platforms. This is a Pre-solicitation Notice. This Notice is being issued for planning and informational purposes only. This notice is not a solicitation, nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice, nor will the Government accept proposals as a result of this Notice. The Scope of Work for this requirement will only be available upon solicitation issuance.
