The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, is issuing a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to replace the existing EPDM roof at Electronic Service Section located at 15 Overlook Circle, Hendersonville, TN 37075. The structure consists of a single story 48’x179’ footprint. The existing roof is composed of a loose laid EPDM with a rock ballast. The contractor will be required to remove the existing ballast and store on site. The existing EPDM will be removed entirely and replaced with new loose laid grade 90 PVC. The contractor will inspect and remove existing insulation that is saturated or damaged. Material will be fully adhered to the parapet walls utilizing an adhesive. The rock ballast will then be placed back onto the roof. Additional ballast may be required to meet current standards. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. An organized site visit is tentatively scheduled for the week of February 22, 2021. Once the solicitatin package is posted to beta SAM, a firm date and time for the site visit will be furnished within the solicitation documents. Due to the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines provided by the Centers for Diease Control and Prevention (CDC), potential contractors will be allowed to have no more than two (2) company representatives present at the site visit. Contractors will be required to provide their own safety equipment (i.e. steel toe saftey shoes, hard hats, etc.) and face coverings/masks.
