PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) anticipates a firm fixed price construction contract for painting the wall armor at Chickamauga Lock, which was last painted in 2009. Debris and barge impacts as well as environment have degraded the paint. The Contractor is to clean, surface prep, and paint the horizontal corner wall armor metals and check posts throughout the lock. The bull noses located on the ends of the approach walls will be cleaned, prepared, and painted above summer pool water elevation. The Contractor shall provide the necessary plant, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation.
