Title: J. Percy Priest Arc Flash Mitigation Description: PURPOSE: USACE Nashville District intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation for a firm fixed price construction contract to accomplish the following work at J. Percy Priest Dam. The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, engineering, labor, materials, and equipment to perform the following required work in strict accordance with the detailed requirements; a. Field verify all the equipment connections, wiring, and all other features of the existing 480 Volt Equipment and 480 Volt Unit Auxiliary motor control centers. b. Remove existing and provide a new 480 Volt Equipment motor control center. c. Remove existing and provide a new 480 Volt Unit Auxiliary motor control center. d. Provide optional Solid-state overload relays, communications, and draw-out unit test provisions for each motor control center. e. All cabling associated with the motor control centers shall be replaced to the first point of termination outside of the motor control centers. f. Provide temporary power for the critical loads fed by equipment being replaced. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 238210 for Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a small business size standard of $16.5 million. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business SOLICITATION AND CONTRACT TYPE: It is anticipated that from the IFB Solicitation, the Government will award one Firm-Fixed Price Construction Contract to the company that provides the lowest priced bid who is found to be responsive and responsible. DISCLOSURE OF MAGNITUDE OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: The disclosure of magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated contract period is three hundred and twenty-two (322) days after notice to proceed (NTP). VIRTUAL SITE VISIT SCHEDULED: The Virtual Site Visit is scheduled for August 18th, 2020 at 9:00 a.m central time. Please see the solicitation documents for additional information regarding the virtual site visit. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Bidders must be successfully registered in the SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Bidders must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their bid in order to receive a Government contract award. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation. The solicitation documents will be posted on www.beta.sam.gov.
