PURPOSE: This is a request for quote (RFQ) See attached Solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a Request for Quote (RFQ) W912P519T0035 for the Gearbox Inspection, Cleaning and Reporting on Wheeler Main lock and Auxiliary and Wilson Main lock and Auxiliary. USACE will provide equipment, equipment operator and qualified rigging personnel to provide contractor personnel safe access to the work. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Work shall be complete within one hundred-twenty (120) calendar days of notice of contract award. At each worksite, all onsite work shall be completed within thirty (30) contiguous calendar days. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: General Joe Wheeler Lock, 100 HWY 101, Rogersville, AL 35652 and Wilson Lock, 704 S Wilson Dam Road, Florence, AL 35630. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: NAICS 811310 with a size standard of $7,500,000. TYPE OF SET-ASIDE: Total Small Business Set-Aside SOLICITATION AND CONTRACT TYPE: It is anticipated that from the Request for Quote Solicitation, the Government will award one Firm-Fixed Price Commercial Service Contract IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective June 29, 2018 vendors creating or updating their registration can have their registration activated prior to the approval of the required notarized letter. However, the signed copy of the notarized letter must be sent to the GSA Federal Service Desk (FSD) within 30 calendar days of activation or the vendor risks no longer being active in SAM. Vendors can check whether an account is active by performing a query by their CAGE or Unique Entity Identifier (known as DUNS). The new registration process may now take several weeks, so vendors are highly encouraged to begin registering as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays in future contract awards. Remember, there is no cost to use SAM. To find out additional information about the changes of the SAM registration process, contractors should visit the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) link located at the top of the SAM homepage (www.sam.gov). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Specific information pertaining to this procurement will be available in the solicitation.
