The Government is issuing this Sources Sought Notice to determine a competitive basis. This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This questionnaire is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this notice. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates soliciting a requirement for a firm fixed price construction contract to replace the existing roof at Barkley Lock Operations Office and two (2) control shelters. The current roof cover placed on the Barkley Lock Operations Office requires replacement. The roof cover is comprised of an aggregate ballasted over a loose laid EPDM membrane. The cover is supported by a concrete deck. Several repairs have been performed to remedy leaking concerns around drains and HVAC equipment. This roof cover demonstrates signs of material deterioration which is attributed to the age of the system. The roof cover will be replaced in its entirety to prevent further concerns. Drains will be inspected and cleared during roof replacement. The two control shelters are located on the lock within close proximity to the operations office. These two control shelters have demonstrated signs of water intrusion. The roof cover is comprised of an aggregate ballasted over a loose laid EPDM membrane. The cover is supported by a concrete deck. The roof cover demonstrates signs of material deterioration which is attributed to the age of the system. The roof cover will be replaced in its entirety to prevent further concerns. Drains will be inspected and cleared during roof replacement. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The anticipated NAICS code is 238160, Roofing Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15.0 million in annual receipts.
