This is not a solicitation. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this survey. This survey is for market research purposes only. Only contractors capable of performing this type of work should respond to this Request for Information. Requirement The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Nashville District, anticipates a requirement for a firm fixed-price construction contract for the Electrical and Water Line Rehabilitation at Chickamauga Lock, Chattanooga, TN. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This work involves the replacement of electrical systems and raw water piping at the Chickamauga Lock. The electrical systems rehabilitation will include replacing the motor control center in the operations building, and replacing the upstream and downstream control consoles. The electrical system rehabilitation will also include rerouted wires using cable tray (to run along the outside edge of the of the lock walls) and conduit. The embedded conduit and wiring being replaced will be abandoned in place. The raw water rehabilitation will include replacing all the existing piping, fittings, gate solenoids, valves, hangers, and sprinkler heads. The existing pump and pump platform will be reused and incorporated into the new plumbing system. All replaced systems will require commissioning, as-built drawings, and operation and maintenance documentation.* The contractor will be required to provide all plant, labor and materials to complete the project. The anticipated NAICS code is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors, with a small business size standard of $15 million. *Please note that this description is subject to change.
