The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Notice to identify capable firms for independent on-site Nuclear Criticality Safety support for the FUSRAP Shallow Land Disposal Area environmental-remediation project. The anticipated contract is firm-fixed-price services with cost-reimbursable travel, consisting of a one-year base period and four option years. The contractor would provide primary and alternate NCS Officers to serve as independent technical advisors to USACE and oversee/quality-assure the remediation contractor’s NCS program, including field walkdowns, document reviews, audits, assessments, radiological and special nuclear material handling support, and independent reporting. Work will primarily occur at the SLDA site in Parks Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, with possible periodic travel to USACE offices and other off-site meetings.
