This sources Sought is to contact industry to see what pool of contractors are capable and experienced in the work described below. CAP 14 Grand River/Bank Street Stabilization Project Description: Project requires installation of a new anchored steel sheet pile retaining wall along Bank Street in Painesville, Ohio. The new wall is approximately 325 feet in length as measured along Banks Street, and overlaps existing retaining walls located at each end of the project limits. The new sheet pile wall will include steel wales and approximately 37 soil anchors installed through the wales near the top of wall. A new drain will be installed near the interface of the existing bank with the new sheet pile behind the retaining wall. This drain will collect ground water and pass through the sheet pile wall and progress downslope to empty over the bank into the Grand River. The wall will be backfilled with free draining stone separated from existing soils by geotextile. Sheet pile will need to be driven through and into stiff clays with pile lengths of around 45 feet. The project will require vibration monitoring due to the proximity of residential buildings on the opposite side of Bank Street. There is limited work area available along Bank Street. Traffic control measures such as barricades and signs will be required to perform the work. Please provide no more than 5 pages, 3-5 example projects (what work you did on the project as the prime), bonding capacity, etc. Please also state in your responses if you are a Small or Large Business.
