The no mask plating fixtures for the B340 Advanced Metal Finishing facility were developed through the Commercial Technologies for Maintenance Activities (CTMA) program of the Department of Defense which was managed by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS). Advanced Tooling Corporation (now Sunvair Corporation) conducted this research and development project with Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) and Naval Fleet Readiness Center Southwest to reduce the cost and environmental impact of the electroplating process. Therefore, Sunvair Corporation owns the proprietary rights to the designs of these fixtures and is the only source available to provide these fixtures to CCAD.
