Throughout Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) and standardization of the equipment is imperative to keep costs down. Employees have been trained in the operation of the equipment and any deviation of the product could lead to increase costs, for training personnel. The existing library of part programs can be transferred from one CMM to another. Depending on the number of programs, the investment in these programs may be equal to, or more than the price of the CMM.
