Blade Balance Stand #1 uses a CH-47 FWD rotor hub. The R5393 actuators are unique and were specifically designed for Sikorsky to Whirl main rotor blades on the Simulated Flight Hardware. Each actuator is equipped with an encoder that has a limit set range of =/-99,999 counts. 100 counts equates to approximately 18 minutes of a degree angle. Each actuators move independently for the minutes of angle or trim pitch.
