It is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure any services, nor is it the intent of the USPFO-LA to award a contract on the basis of this request for information (RFI) or otherwise pay for the information sought. 1. CONTRACT INFORMATION: USPFO-LA is seeking preliminary marketing information, from capable and reliable sources to gain knowledge of potential qualified small business sources capable of delivering an item that meets all requirements from the LA Army National Guard (LAARNG), as it relates to the need for Ice Vending This is a single requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) classified for this effort is 493120: Refrigeration Warehousing and Storage. The LAARNG anticipates releasing a solicitation announcement, to be published in the Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov), on or about 30 October 2019. The solicitation will consist of a FIRM-FIXED-PRICE contract with intentions to be set aside for total small business. Responses from this notice may result in a set-aside for a more specific socio-economic group. 2. PROJECT SCOPE: Ice Vending BROAD DESCRIPTION OF WORK: We are looking for a vendor who can provide an ice vending machine that can produce and store approximately 4000 - 6000 pounds of ice per day. This machine must have a footprint no larger than 250 square feet. This machine will be located outside on a military installation and designed for Soldiers to come and get 10, 16, or 20 pound bags of ice without paying cash, credit, or debit. There should be another method to get ice, like a coupon, token, or some other method. The Government will pour a concrete pad and prepare it with water and electrical connections. The vendor must deliver the ice machine (which looks like a portable building) to Building 1415 E Street, Pineville, LA 71303. Please provide capabilities referring to the type and frequency of maintenance needed, filtration systems, water softeners, capability of reverse osmosis. Also, include a MSRP or published price list. 3. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: All interested firms shall submit a Capability Statement and email to david.L.bourgeois4.mil@mail.mil, and andrew.j.montgomery.mil@mail.mil. Submission shall be received by 6:00 PM, Central Standard Time, 18 September 2019. This request for information is only for market research purposes. This RFI does not constitute a request for proposal nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of response to this notice. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary will be fully protected from release outside the U.S. Government. No hard-copy or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Cover letters and extraneous materials (brochures, etc.) will be considered.
