The event is a five-day event, which includes a morning and afternoon of travel, as well as training for adult volunteers prior to campers arriving at camp. Camp will take place at a camp/retreat center near Rapid City. The selected offeror will provide the required meeting space, food, lodging, and possible outdoor activities for the event listed in this solicitation. The South Dakota National Guard Child & Youth Program will be conducting the 2021 SD Military Youth Camp for ages 9-11 in June. This event provides the opportunity for military youth to connect with each other in a camp-setting with a programming focus on leadership, team building, resilience, life skills, personal development, and military values. Youth Camp is a core program element of the National Guard Child & Youth Program. An option period for 2022 is included.
