Sources Sought Notice ROOF RETROFIT AND REPLACEMENT, ERVD162001 Category: Y - Construction of Structures and Facilities NAICS: 238160 Date Published: 20 March 2019 Contact: SMSgt R. Frank Hartzell, Contracting Division, 192d Mission Support Group, 165 Sweeny Blvd, Langley AFB, VA 23665 Location of Potential Work: Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 Synopsis: SOURCES SOUGHT, ROOF RETROFIT AND REPLACEMENT The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential sources for this project including interested Small Business sources. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond. 192d Mission Support Group intends to issue a solicitation and award of a contract to Retrofit and Replace Roofs on Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation, Virginia Beach, Virginia, as described below. Bldg 203 - Steep Slope Roof Replacement The work includes the removal and disposal of five steep slope T-Seam metal panel roof sections from Building 203 totaling approximately 19,650 square feet. Bldg 204 - Steep Slope Roof Retrofit The work includes the installation of a new 24 GA Galvalume double lock standing seam metal panel roof system totaling approximately 13,600 square feet. The roof system is to be retrofitted over the existing insulated metal roof panels using a new steel sub-purlin system. Bldg 205 - Roof Replacement The work includes the removal and replacement of one slow slope roof section and four steep slope roof sections. The existing low slope roof section consists of approximately 1,800 square feet of gravel surfaced roof membrane over tapered perlite insulation over a 2-1/2 inches thick layer of flat stock polyisocyanurate insulation over a metal deck. The existing low slope roof system is to be replaced with a new fully adhered 60 mil EPDM roof system over tapered insulation with an average R-value of 30. The existing steep slope roof sections consist of approximately 10,500 square feet of T-Seam metal panels over 3 inches polyisocyanurate insulation. The existing polyisocyanurate insulation is to remain in place. New R-12.6 polyisocyanurate insulation and high temperature self-adhering underlayment is to be provided. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All interested concerns will provide this office, in writing, a notice stating their positive intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor no later than 1 April 2019. This notification, which shall not exceed five typewritten pages, must include: 1) A positive statement of intent to bid as a prime contractor; 2) A completed and signed Source Sought Information Request Form; 3) A listing of comparable projects completed during the past three years, both for government and private industry. The type of project, dollar value, Contract number, location, and Point of Contact are to be included. Indicate if you were prime or subcontractor, and if subcontractor, provide the name and point of contact for the prime contractor; and 4) A brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the contract. In the event adequate Small Business contractors are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as unrestricted.
