The Tennessee Army National Guard hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price for Expandable Light Air Mobile Shelters (ELAMs) repair to AAR Mobility Systems. This acquisition is for the repair of an expandable light air mobile shelter. AAR Mobility Systems is the Sole Manufacturer of the ELAMS Shelters. The spare and/or replacement parts are designed to support these shelters. Expandable Light Air Mobile Shelters (ELAMS) are part of a complete line of proprietary Air Mobile Shelters (AMS). Market research does not indicate any company other than AAR Mobility Systems who can repair these shelters and provide a certificate of Airworthiness after repair. For this reason, the Government chooses to award a sole source contract for the repair of these ELAMs.
