PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPIS ISSUED ONLY TO CONDUCT A MARKET RESEARCH STUDY FOR AN ANTICIPATED REQUIREMENT. This is a sources sought announcement is seeking vendors that may be able to perform this requirement in order to support a competitive procurement. Accordingly, the U.S. Government highly encourages all interested small businesses in all socioeconomic categories (including, 8(a) Business Development Program, Small Disadvantage Business, Historically Underutilized Business Zone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Women- Owned Small Business concerns) to respond to this sources sought. All interested parties must describe their identifying capabilities in meeting the requirements at a fair market price. This is not a request for quotation or proposal. This notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government for any purpose other than market research. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. If a solicitation is issued for this requirement it will not be issued under this number. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 722320 Caterers with the small business size standard being $7.5M. The KYNG is conducting market research for the following: Catered meal support to Kentucky National Guard operation with the potential to be State wide. Currently, the KYNG does not have a long-term, established, contract for catered meal support across the State of Kentucky. The Government is seeking to establish a BPA for catered meal support that has the capability to support Kentucky National Guard Operations State wide. Per attachment two, the State has been devided into 4 support areas. Interested vendors have to option to support individual areas or State-wide. The results of the sources sought will be used is to determine the feasibility of establishing a BPA(s) based on support areas or State-wide. BPA(s) are anticipated to have an ordering period of up to five (5) year period for catered meal support. BPA calls will be competed among BPA holders, and will contain a more detailed information if solicited. Responses submitted should include (1) name and address of firm, phone/fax numbers, email address and point of contact; (2) DUNS Number and/or CAGE Code, if available; (3) type of small business, e.g., woman-owned, service-disabled veteran owned, small disadvantaged, etc.; (4) firm's experience; and (5) firm's past performance with federal, state and local government agencies and/or commercial entities within the last three (3) years. If applicable, also include GSA Contract number, multiple award schedule (MAS) category’s, and contract end date. Also include the following with the responses: a) Which support area can you provide catered meal support too? b) Minimum required time notice of catering event or meal order is how many days/hours? c) Minimum required time notice to cancel a catering event or meal order is how many days/hours? d) Minimum required time notice to increase the numbers of meals is how many days/hours? e) Minimum required time notice to decrease the numbers of meals is how many days/hours?
