This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement seeking only small business responses in order to determine available small business participation in this acquisition. This is not a request for quotation (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This request for information shall not be considered as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 722310 Food Service Contractors, with a size standard of $41.5 Millions or Less. The Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG) is conducting market research based on the following statement of work. The contractor shall provide food distribution support, including but not limited to, fresh and/or frozen meats and poultry, frozen seafood, fresh, canned and frozen vegetables, semi perishable products, condiments and other subsistence items necessary for delivery of food products to units/activities of the MDARNG. Normal monthly deliveries are required at MDARNG armories and training sites in the State of Maryland. However, deliveries may be required at military training sites in adjacent States; VA, WV, PA, DE. The contractor should be able to fill requests from the format generated by the Army Food Management Information System (AFMIS). See the sample delivery order requirement following the Contracting Office Address. Responses submitted should include (1) name and address of firm, phone/fax numbers, email address and point of contact; (2) DUNS Number and/or CAGE Code, if available; (3) type of small business, e.g., woman-owned, service-disabled veteran owned, small disadvantaged, hub-zone, etc.; (4) firm’s experience; and (5) firm’s past performance with federal, state and local government agencies and/or commercial entities within the last three (3) years.
