Reference PWS 5.1.8 Coordinate dental treatment plans with appropriate medical facilities. Will the contractor be required to case manage any dental treatment or set up vouchers? Answer: No. The contractor will not be required to case manage any dental treatment or set up vouchers. 2. What is the average number of daily dental exams performed? Answer: The dentist works 8 hours a day. Exams not completed will be completed the next day. 3. What supporting staff is involved with the dental exam process (for example: scheduling, assisting, documenting, etc.)? Answer: A complete support staff is present. 4. The Maryland Army National Guard requires NON-personal services to provide timely and accurate Dental Examination Services. The purpose of this contract is to provide Dental Examination Services in support of Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) requirements as outlined in AR40-501. We propose to enter into a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a contractor who shall provide Dental Examination Services as defined in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Government is seeking a contractor having Dental Examination Services expertise to provide dental examination services to include; comprehensive dental exams, diagnosis of disease, abnormalities and dysfunctional disorder of the oral cavity and any associated structures, and to apply a dental classification number (1-3) IAW AR 40-3. The MDARNG Surgeon’s Office requires a licensed dentist(s) to perform approximately 1760 hours of dental examination services per year. On average one dentist will be required per day. On occasion, and with advanced notice, two or three dentists may be requested. Offerors shall assume that the Government has no prior knowledge of their experience, and will base its evaluation on the information presented in the Offeror’s proposal. The proposal should not simply rephrase or restate the Government’s requirements, but rather shall provide convincing rationale to address how the Offeror intends to meet these requirements. A candidate Professional resume(s) must be provided. Capability and Experience: Proposal should demonstrate an understanding of the requirements as outlined in the Performance Work Statement. The proposal should provide a definitive approach to achieve the end results that are set forth in the requirements. Proposals that merely offer to provide the service in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) will be considered technically unacceptable and will not be considered further.
