The general requirement of this project is to remove and dispose of the existing automatic transfer switch, reconfigure and simplify the existing bypass and safety disconnect switches layout, and install a new Government-Furnished, Contractor-Installed (GFCI) Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The end-result of this work shall be a fully functional ATS that transfers the power feeding BLDG 112 from normal power to the existing emergency backup generator in the event of a power outage. Additionally, a single safety disconnect switch shall provide the means to disconnect the ATS from the normal power source and the existing breaker box shall be rewired so that the lights on the generator enclosure will function off the generator power. All work completed shall comply with current National Electrical Code. Basis of Award: Award shall be made to the offeror, whose quotation, is evaluated as the best value to the Government.
