The Kansas Army National Guard, Advanced Turbine Engine Army Maintenance (ATEAM) requires the Testing, Inspection, and calibration of the following balancer systems: hard bearing balancer, High Pressure Compressor (HPC) balancer, Low Pressure Compressor (LPC) Balancer, and vertical Balancer. This acquisition will be solicited small business set aside. The uniqueness of these highly specialized balance devices is expected to limit competition. Advanced knowledge of the equipment and application is essential in order to accomplish the requirement in standards, without first having to reverse engineer the equipment and study the system to understand the interface and functionality between the components. This is to ensure the Full Up Power Pack (FUPP) {Air Gas Turbine 1500 Engine & 1100 Transmission assembly} Components are within specified tolerances and meet or exceed manufacturer standards as well as the high quality standards of the ATEAM. Proper calibration and balancing is essential in order to alleviate potential failure of FUPP or FUPP components in order to ensure quality and integrity of the FUPP Powerhouse.
