This solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 13.106, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a 100% Small Business set aside. The Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC) Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory (CHL) has a requirement requires expert dive service experienced with the Field Research Facility’s (FRF) unique deployment, mounting, and cabling strategies as well as working off and around amphibious vehicles in the surf zone to maintain continuous data collection for its long-term nearshore physical process data record. The FRF is located in Duck, North Carolina. The diving will be in open water and will not require entry into confined spaces or enclosures. Most dive sites are accessible by boat, but some dives may be accessed from the shore. Both surface supplied air and SCUBA will be used and the Contractor will work with the Field Research Facility operations staff to determine methods for a given task with full regard full regard for safety and efficiency. Divers will be required to have training, certifications, and equipment in compliance with safety protocols described in USACE EM 385-1-1.
