The ERDC has the requirement for purchase of an 8-wheeled amphibious vehicle to assist with infrastructure inspections and surveys. This vehicle must have the ability to transport up to 4 people on land and water. This vehicle must be outfitted with tracks to lower ground pressure for reduced ground disturbance. The vehicle also needs a roll cage protection safety system with seatbelts. A brush guard with 4,500 lb synthetic winch systems for front and rear of vehicle are required for possible vehicle/equipment retrieval. The vehicle should have at least 30 horsepower motor with 40 amp alternator. The dimensions should not exceed 130" length x 65" width and 1500 lbs. Consumable parts must be included for maintenance but not limited to: drive belt, throttle cable, hand brake pads, steering pads, main air filter, pre air filter, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, oil, grease, chain lube, gear oil, and hood fan. Vehicle needs to have skid plate protection and backup bilge pump. Vehicle needs to have option for outboard motor mount to assist with water crossings. Vehicle must have all requested optional equipment installed prior to delivery. Vehicle and consumable parts must be delivered to 3909 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
