No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The type of solicitation issued in the future will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business (EDWOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The type of solicitation to be issued will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The vendor must be capable of furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, materials; equipment and transportation to perform elevator maintenance services for ERDC, 3909 Halls Ferry Rd., Vicksburg, Mississippi, 39180. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is issuing this request for information (RFI) announcement as part of a market survey for Inspection, Testing, Maintenance (ITM) and repair services for the elevators, dumb waiters, wheelchair, and platform lifts for the Department of Public Works DPW. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, incidental engineering, and transportation necessary for the inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of the elevators, dumb waiters, wheelchair, and plat lifts at ERDC. The work shall include corrective and preventive maintenance, minor maintenance and repair, reimbursable repair effort, report preparation and other services. Also, the contractor must be capable to respond on site by 12:00 noon CST the following business day for normal service calls and within 2 hours for emergency service calls. The Contractor will ensure that all persons employed in the performance of this contract, prior to gaining access to the installation are U.S. citizens and carry a valid commercial driver’s license. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this sources sought is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Maintenance and Repair. The Small Business Size Standard for this sources sought is $11 million. Interested organizations having access to the demonstrated capabilities in this area are invited to submit literature, which describes the general approach, previous related work, and a response per the submission instructions below. If you have an interest in participating in this type of contract, please provide the following information. After review of the response submissions, the Government may contact select respondents to further clarify the candidate materials. Responses will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining if this procurement can be accomplished on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
