The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) intends to issue an award on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)) to Bruel & Kjaer North America, Inc., 3079 Premiere Parkway Suite 120, Duluth, GA 30097-5245 for the Cabled Hydrophone Data Collection System. ERDC is in need of a Cabled Hydrophone Data Collection System (Equipment) to expand the current underwater acoustics acquisition, processing and analyses capabilities to increase the throughput of the post-processing associated with large-scale, long-term experiments. This supply contract can be met by commercially available equipment. This equipment is offered by Bruel & Kjaer North America, Inc, and is the only vendor that can maintain project integrity and continuity of the underwater acoustics acquisition. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334519. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data sufficient to determine capability in providing the same or similar supply. All capability statements received by the closing date of this publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
