The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for the City of Columbus Section 14 Emergency Bank Restoration and Shoreline Protection, Colorado County, Texas. Project Information: Repairing an eroded river bank which consists of; excavation of 750 CY of material to install a new 4 FT. DIA. 28 V.L.F. precast reinforced concrete manhole, 85 L.F. High Density Polyethylene Pipe, 200 CY cement stabilized sand, 1,200 CY of compacted fill, 20 CY of swale, 400 TONS of bedding stone, 2,000 TONS of riprap, 300 SY of turfing, 800 SY of geotextile and removal of an existing concrete collar structure. Completion Time: Complete the entire work ready for use not later than 95 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,182.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (10) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (14) calendar days after receipt of the notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as “100% HubZone Set-Aside” in accordance with FAR Part 14, the intent of the Government is to award one single firm-fixed price contract. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $39.5 Million. The solicitation will be issued on or about 3 June 2021. Response date will be 6 July 2021. (All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation.
