The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 April 2020. Response date will be 28 May2020. (All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Texas, Channel to Victoria Middle and Lower Reach in Calhoun and Victoria Counties, Texas, Maintenance Pipeline Dredging. Project Information: The work consists of Schedule No. 1 – Maintenance dredging of approx. 825,000 cubic yards from the Middle and Lower Reaches, and repair of Placement Area 2 effluent ditch by backfilling the eroded segment of the ditch and constructing a riprap weir approx. 140 linear feet; Option 1, maintenance dredging of approx. 570,000 cubic yards from the Middle or Lower Reach. Completion Time: Completion time for Schedule No. 1 is 120 calendar days; Option 1 completion is 60 calendar days. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3,426.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after receipt of the notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as “UNRESTRICTED” full & open competition to both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million (Dredging). The solicitation will be issued on or about 11 February 2020. Response date will be 12 March 2020. (All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation). The estimated award date for this project is on or about 16 April 2020.
