The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a pipeline dredging contract for the Brazos Island Harbor, Texas, Brownsville Ship Channel, Main Channel, and Port Isabel Channel in Cameron County, Texas. Project Information: The work consists of Schedule 1: Maintenance dredging of Brownsville Ship Channel, Sections 1 thru 16 (Sta. 1+000 to Sta. 81+000). Estimated quantity is 1,729,000 cubic yards (CY). Dredged material will be placed at upland confined placement area (PA) Nos. 2, 4, 5A, and 7. Complete the entire work ready for use not later than 165 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the NTP. Option 1: Maintenance dredging of Port Isabel East Wye, Section No. 17 (Sta. 13+244 to Sta. 17+804). Estimated quantity is 261,000 CY. Dredged material will be placed at upland confined PA No. 3. If awarded, an additional 22 calendar days will be added to the contract duration. Option 2: Maintenance dredging of Port Isabel West Wye, Section No. 18 (Sta. 12+802 to Sta. 17+804). Estimated quantity is 384,000 CY. Dredged material will be placed at upland confined PA No. 3. If awarded, an additional 32 calendar days will be added to the contract duration. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount $3,112.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (2) calendar days after award. The contractor shall begin work within (10) calendar days after the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Unrestricted" full and open competition for both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million (Dredging). The solicitation will be issued on or about 17 June 2019. Response date is 17 July 2019 @ 2:00 PM (CST) (All bids must be submitted electronically via www.FBO.gov). The estimated award date for this project is August 2019.
