The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for Houston Ship Channel (HSC) Brady Island to Turning Basin Pipeline Dredging in Harris County, Texas. Project Information: Work consists of Maintenance Dredging of HSC from Brady Island to the Main Turning Basin to a depth of 39.5' MLLW. Pipeline dredging of approximately 350,000 CY of maintenance material with dredged material placement into Rosa Allen Placement Area. Contractor should be familiar with dredging of deep draft channels with ship traffic and be capable of producing a minimum of 5000 cy/day on a long pump. Distance to Rosa Allen Placement Area averages 6 miles. Only one dredge can be used on this project due dredge spacing restrictions in the Houston Ship Channel. Contractor will also need to remove localized debris (tires) from channel. Completion Time: 150 Calendar Days/Estimated Production Rate: 5,000 cy/day. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages in an amount TBD to the Government for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. The Contractor will be required to provide the Performance and Payment Bonds within 3 calendar day after award. The contractor shall begin work within 10 calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. The Solicitation will be issued as Firm Fixed Price. The magnitude of this project is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The solicitation is advertised as "Full and Open Competition". The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million (dredging). The solicitation will be issued on or about 28 June 2019. Response date is 30 July 2019 @ 2:00 PM (CST) (All bids must be submitted electronically via www.FBO.gov). The estimated award date for this project is August 2019.
