Vehicle Maintenance Shop, Kadena Air Base
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Japan District, Okinawa Area Office plans to issue an RFP for a Design-Bid-Build Army Air Defense Artillery Vehicle Maintenance Shop at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. The project includes approximately 36,000 sq ft of VMS space plus associated storage, POL/hazardous waste buildings, wash platform, parking, utilities, drainage, paving, lighting, fire protection, IDS, EMCS, AT/FP measures, and demolition of existing structures, with a 1,260-calendar-day period of performance. The estimated project magnitude is between ¥15,000,000,000 and ¥30,000,000,000. A site visit is scheduled for 19 October 2026 at 9:30 a.m. JST at Kadena Air Base, with projected solicitation issue in October 2026 and anticipated contract award in September 2027. Only local sources physically located and authorized/licensed to perform construction in Japan will be considered, and offerors must hold a Japanese civil or architectural construction license.
