The purpose of this announcement is to identify sources interested and capable of performing the construction services associated with this project and to receive feedback from those firms to assist the Government’s acquisition planning efforts. This sources sought announcement does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market research effort. This sources sought announcement is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those companies physically located and authorized to perform construction work in Japan. Firms interested and capable of performing the type of work associated with this announcement are highly encouraged to submit a response (submission requirements are located within this notice). The intent of this project is to replace manual gates with new automatic sliding gates. This scope of work consists of four each powered access box style section sliding gates. The power vehicular sliding gates shall operate on 120V/208V available in adjacent facilities. The Exit gates shall be equipped with exit and safety loop detectors for vehicle actuation or stop for pedestrian safety. The opening and closing speed of the sliding gates shall be 300 millimeters per second with electrically controlled allowance for adjusting the speed.
