The purpose of this notice is to identify sources capable of performing these projects and to receive responses from those firms to assist the Government's acquisition planning. All upcoming projects are Design-Bid-Build (DBB) military construction projects. This announcement represents a market survey that is intended for planning purposes only. This survey does not constitute a commitment by the Government for any follow-on announcements, solicitation, or award. This notice is NOT a solicitation. Each project will be solicited separately under a unique solicitation number. The Government will not pay for any information provided as a result of this market survey. This market survey is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Firms interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response (submission requirements are located within this notice). The information requested in this announcement will be used within POJ to facilitate decision-making and will not be disclosed outside the agency. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS Project Title: Repair Ammunition Storage Facilities Repairs, Kawakami, Japan Project Location: Kawakami, Japan Product Service Code (PSC): Z2EA – Repair or Alteration of Ammunition Facilities NAICS Code: 236220 – Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Anticipated Project Magnitude: Between ¥500,000,000 and ¥1,000,000,000 (Japanese YEN) per project Anticipated Acquisition Method: Invitation for Bid Anticipated Period of Performance: 850 Calendar Days Anticipated Schedule: The Government is anticipating soliciting Package 1 in FY23 and Package 2 in FY24 Project Description: Design-Bid-Build. The projects are for the repair of 74 facilities at the Kawakami Ammunition Depot. The intent of the design is to repair these ammunition facilities up to current requirements for each facility’s intended storage of ammunition. Kawakami Ammunition Depot has 49 earth-covered magazines (ECMs) and 25 above ground magazines (AGMs). The Government intends to have all 74 facilities repaired under two contracts. ========================================================================== REQUESTED INFORMATION Interested firms are requested to reply with the following information no later than 10 March 2023 Japan Standard Time. For each project you are interested, request any comments/concerns related to the Draft Plans and Specifications (if provided) (i.e. long lead items, specialty equipment, Japan Industrial Standards/Japan Edited Specifications, anticipated period of performance). 6.
