The Japan District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been tasked to perform market research and solicit the interest of prospective offeror(s) for a forthcoming Design-Bid-Build (DBB) requirement entitled, “FY20 DODEA OMS Replace Mechanical Systems and Controls, Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan”. This announcement constitutes a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE and will ONLY be used for preliminary planning purposes. The intent of this notice is to gauge interest, capabilities and experience of members of the Construction Community to identify sources capable of performing the required work and assist in the Government’s acquisition planning. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The Government will not pay for any information provided in response to this notice. This market survey is intended for local sources only. Local sources are those sources physically located and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Firms interested and capable of performing this work are highly encouraged to submit a response (submission requirements are located within this notice). Project Information Project Title: FY20 DODEA OMS Replace Mechanical Systems and Controls Project Location: Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan Project NAICS: 238290, Other Building Equipment Contractors Project Magnitude: Between ¥100,000,000 and ¥500,000,000 Japanese YEN Project Description: The project will replace mechanical systems and controls in DODEA Headquarters Building 290, Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan. The two story building has an area of approximately 3300 SM. The existing constant volume air conditioning system will be replaced with a variable air volume system to include new air handling units and chiller. Architectural and electrical work are required to support the mechanical renovation. Phasing is required to allow tenants to remain in one of the floors during construction. Procurement method: The Japan District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers anticipates the release of an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for this project. Any solicitations pursued will be intended for local sources only.
