PLANNED SOLICITATION: The final Solicitation for this project will be announced anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, equipment, labor, transportation, fuel, lubricant, supplies and materials; and performing all operations in connection with raising dikes and berms, and installation of new spillway systems, including clearing and appurtenant items. The Clouter Creek North Cell contains material from maintenance dredging of a completed dredging project by the South Carolina State Ports Authority (SCSPA) and by the Army Corps of Engineers. Diking is needed increase the capacity of the North Cell under the Charleston Harbor Operation and Maintenance project to handle future O&M material from the deepened channel. USACE Charleston District performs diking in other placements sites in the harbor on a regular basis depending on remaining capacity and upcoming maintenance cycles. The work is located in Berkeley, South Carolina. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: $1,000,000 TO $5,000,000 The contractor must be registered in WWW.SAM.GOV prior to award of the solicitation.
