PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, the construction plans & specifications, instructions to offerors, and the evaluation factors/basis for award. The formal solicitation is expected to occur on or around 15 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation notice. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE FORMAL SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. PLANNED SOLICITATION: The final Solicitation for this project will be announced anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of maintenance dredging approximately 1,618,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from the Joint Base Charleston (JBC) Channel (Shoals 1, 2, 2A, 3A, 4, 4A, 5) and TC Dock located in Charleston and Berkley Counties, South Carolina. The material shall be deposited in the Yellow House Creek Placement Area. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and the Marine Mammals Protection Act. Magnitude Of Work: $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Solicitation is hereby posted and active as of 28 July 2020. Amendment 00001 is hereby posted and active as of 14 August 2020. Amendment 00001 is issued to update the Scope of Work, update CLIN lines, add additional FAR clauses and a provision, to add updated specifications, drawings and permit.
