This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, the construction plans & specifications, instructions to offerors, and the evaluation factors/basis for award. The formal solicitation is expected to occur on or around 18 May 2020. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE FORMAL SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of maintenance and new work dredging of a base amount of approximately 6,076,000 cubic yards of unclassified material from the Charleston Lower Harbor Channel and Cooper River. Material dredged acceptance sections shall be placed upland in Clouter Creek Placement Area (Middle Cell) and Daniel Island Placement Area (Wando Cell), and/or in the Ocean Dredged Materials Disposal Area (ODMDS). The work is located in Charleston and Berkeley Counties, South Carolina. The work includes complying with the requirements of the Endangered Species Act and Marine Mammals Protection Act. Due to environmental considerations, Hopper Dredges may not be utilized in the execution of work under this contract. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: Between $25,000,000 AND $100,000,000. GEOTECHNICAL DATA: Survey data is hereby provided as of 06 March 2020 in order for early review. All other information will be posted at the time of release of the solicitation. SOLICITATION: The solicitation is hereby posted as of 8 July 2020. AMENDMENTS: Due to system technical errors, Amendments 0001-0006 were not used. The first amendment being issued is Amendment 0007 and is hereby posted as of 6 August 2020. Amendment 0007 provides updates to the Solicitation, Specifications, and Drawings. Also included are additional permits and survey data. Amendment 0008 is hereby posted as of 10 August 2020. This is the second amendment being issued.
