The following attachments are posted with this Solicitation announcement: -SF1442 -Plans -Specifications See attachments for detailed information ---------------------------------------------------------- PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT: This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation announcement of a proposed contract action pursuant to FAR 5.204. This is not a solicitation. No response is requested at this time. A formal solicitation will follow this announcement with full details, including a response deadline, the complete price proposal schedule, the construction plans & specifications, instructions to offerors, and the evaluation factors/basis for award. OFFERORS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING THIS WEBSITE FOR CHANGES TO THIS NOTICE AND THE FORMAL SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. PLANNED SOLICITATION: The formal solicitation is expected to occur anytime between 15 and 30 days after the posting of this pre-solicitation. The contract type will be firm-fixed-price, using an evaluation format of Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work consists of furnishing all plant, equipment, labor, transportation, fuel, lubricant, supplies and materials, and performing all operations in connection with moving earthen materials within Daniel Island Placement Area. Work will include, but not limited to the creation and deepening of draining ditches, clearing of the site, minor repair of dikes, berms and ramps and appurtenant items. The work is located in Berkeley County, South Carolina. MAGNITUDE OF WORK: Between $500,000 AND $1,000,000. TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE: This acquisition will be a 100% Total Small Business Set Aside pursuant to FAR 6.203 & FAR 19.502-2. The NAICS Code selected for this acquisition is 237990, which has a size standard of $36.5 million average annual revenue. The contractor must be registered in SAM.gov prior to award of the solicitation. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed. Bidders must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and at the Federal Business Opportunity Homepage(www.fbo.gov) in order to view or download the solicitation documents.
