NAICS Code: 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction Size Standard: $39.5M This synopsis is for the Erosion Repairs (Upper Dissolved Oxygen Plant), Effingham County, Georgia project. This acquisition is being offered as 100% Small Business 8(a) set-aside solicitation and will result in a single Firm Fixed Price Contract Award. The magnitude of this requirement per FAR 36.204(e), the disclosure of the construction magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Project Location: The Plant is located on the Savannah River Northeast of the City of Rincon in Effingham County, Georgia 31326. Project Description: The project consists of providing a permanent fix for erosion occurring along the south end (lower) retaining wall. A metal sheet pile wall with reinforced concrete cap will be constructed to protect against observed and future erosion along the south side of the Dissolved Oxygen Plant. The site/project has an existing metal sheet pile wall that will be extended from its current termination point. The intent is to match the design and construction of the existing metal sheet pile wall. Riprap will be placed along the shoreline on the north end of the Dissolved Oxygen Plant. In additional to the permanent fix vehicular access is to be provided for periodic maintenance along with the relocation of perimeter security fencing to the new boundary with one 20 wide 2 leaf gate. Work Duration: The estimated construction duration for the Erosion Repairs (Upper Dissolved Oxygen Plant) is 180 days. Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicitated and procured using Sealed Bidding Procedures under FAR Part 14. Note: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format and is anticipated to be available on or about September 27, 2022. Please note that only authorized transmission method for the proposals in response to this solicitation is electronic format via the PROCUREMENT INTEGRATED ENTERPRISE ENVIRONMENT (PIEE), no other transmission methods (email, facsimile, regular mail, hand carried, etc.) will be accepted. The bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CDROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc) will be provided. Any prospective Offeror must register in System for Award Management (SAM} at https://www.sam.gov After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then follow the instructions listed in the solicitation documents to obtain access to the plans and specifications for this solicitation.
