This posting is a Sources Sought Notice only. The Savannah District Corps of Engineers is requesting information regarding the market capabilities of potential contractors that can perform Mowing/Cutting in areas that include Disposal Areas, Bird Island Clearing and Herbicide treatment in Chatham and Glynn Counties Georgia and Jasper County, South Carolina. This request does not obligate the Government in any way to post a Request for Proposal or award a contract. Information received will be considered for the purpose of market research and determining how to best move forward with the procurement. Applicable NAICS code is 561730 with a size standard of $8 Million. The potential magnitude for this requirement is estimated between $1Million to $5Million dollars. Work may will include but not limited to the following: Contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, equipment, special equipment and material for mowing/cutting vegetation along the dikes, dike slopes, counterweights, access ramps, underdrain stations, underdrain station ramps, weir access ramps, and weir outfalls. In addition to the dikes, mow/cut the access roads of Areas 1N, 2A, 12A, 13A, 13B, 14A, 14B, Jones Oyster Bed, and a Staging Area between Disposal Area 12A and the Back River (Sediment Basin) in Savannah Harbor. The contractor shall herbicide the weir areas consisting of weir walkways, and weir outfalls of Areas 1N, 2A, 12A, 13A, 13B, 14A, 14B, Jones Oyster Bed and underdrain stations of Areas 13A and 13B. The contractor shall remove vegetation and herbicide the interior bird nesting islands located in 1N, 12A, 13A, Jones Oyster Bed, as well as a bird island approximately 2 miles offshore of Jones/Oyster Bed Island, Savannah Harbor. In addition to the above work, this contract will include full mowing/cutting of vegetation and herbicide the disposal areas on Andrew’s Island in Brunswick Harbor, and herbicide and clearing of an offshore bird island in Saint Simons Sound. Please submit a capabilities statement and the B.01 Attachment 1 W912HN21S5001-Sources Sought document filled out in it's entirety and return via email to the Point's of Contact provided in this announcment. The Capabilities Statement should address the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational, staff, and equipment capability. Please state if you have experience in performing Mowing/Cutting in areas that include Mechanical Clearing and Herbicide treatment. If significant subcontracting (self-performance is less than 15%) or teaming is anticipated in order to deliver technical capability, organizations should address the administrative and management structure of such arrangements to include the percentage anticipated to be self-performed by each party.
