COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 0003 includes an updated Questions and Answers. This notice is being posted as an avenue to provide Request for Quotes, W912HN21Q5006. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION: QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICTATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This will be Other Than Full and Open Competition. The NAICS Code is 333612 with a size standard of 750 employees. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-05. Title of Requirement: Western Right-Angle Drive Gearbox Rehabilitation, Clemson Pumping Station Description of Requirement: The contractor shall inspect, upgrade, and refurbish two Western Gear Model 240PMR-200 single reduction, right angle speed reducers (A&B) and build one new duplicate Western Gear Model 240PMR-200(C). The right-angle speed reducers shall be manufactured and repaired by Philadelphia Gear, a brand of Timken Gears and Services, the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), per the OEM drawings, to be dimensionally and functionally identical to the Clemson Pump Station’s existing equipment and machinery. Submission Requirements: Quotes should be emailed to Amy.L.Collins@usace.army.mil by 8 April 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time. Please CC Whittni C. Hiscox at Whittni.C.Hiscox@usace.army.mil Fill out and sign pages 2-5 of the solicitation. Basis for Award: The government intends to sole source this requirement to Timken Gears & Services, Inc. dba Philadelphia Gear. However, if another firm is able to provide the same requirement, the award will be made to the lowest priced, responsible, responsive quote that meets or exceeds the product specifications. This is in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.212-2, Evaluation – Commercial Items, and FAR 9.104. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation.
