Synopsis DMCA 12A Back Dike and Weir Improvements Savannah Harbor, Jasper County, SC W912HN19B5004 NAICS: 237990 Size Standard: $36.5M This synopsis is for the raising of the DMCA 12A Back Dike and Weir Improvement. This acquisition is being offered as a 100% Small Business set-aside solicitation and will result in a Firm Fixed Price Contract Award. This construction magnitude for this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. Description of Work: Savannah Harbor Dredge Material Containment Area (DMCA) 12A parallels the north edge of the Savannah River Back River in Jasper County, South Carolina. The containment area, which is roughly 1150 acres in size, is one of nine confined dredge material containment areas used for dredging the Savannah River channel. To safely contain these materials the storage capacity of DMCA 12A needs to be increased and improvements to the water control outlets need to be made. The scope of work for this project consists of raising the crest elevation of the perimeter dike by as much as six feet, clearing the interior, and adding a 2 foot thick sand cap to the existing bird island in the western portion of the DMCA. Also included are repairs and modifications to the five existing weir/water control structures along the western dike, clearing and grubbing of an area along the DMCA exterior, and replacing the main entrance gate. Evaluation Criteria: The contract will be solicited and procured using FAR 14 Sealed Bidding Procedures. Note: This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available on or about July 18, 2019. Please note that the bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Any prospective Offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then register at https://www.fbo.gov in order to obtain solicitation documents, plans and specifications for this solicitation.
