The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is officially conducting market research that will be used to support the Architect-Engineering (A-E) acquisition services. In accordance with FAR Part 10 – Market Research. This survey is specific to A-E design services in support of the modernization of medical campuses by new construction and renovation to include but not limited to mechanical, electrical, communication, fire alarm, fire sprinkler systems, plumbing, etc. of Veteran’s Administration (VA) Medical Campuses located throughout the area of responsibility for South Atlantic Division (SAD). The intent of the market research is to identify qualified and responsible firms with experience designing to VA standards and criteria in support of Major New Facilities, Additions & Renovation projects for the VA. The Corps of Engineers’ SAD is one of eight regional offices of the Corps overseeing military and water-resources design, construction, and operation in the eight states in the Southeast, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. FAR Subpart 36.6 (Selection of Architects and Engineers) will apply to any possible awards. This information may also be used for engineering services not covered by FAR Subpart 36.6. Participation in the Request for Information (RFI) process is important in that it makes USACE decision-makers aware of the capabilities that exist in the market. Responses will be collected via the attached questionnaire only and submitted to the POCs noted below. Data collected will become the property of the USACE and will be used to provide a snapshot of how businesses who participated are capable of providing A-E Services. USACE does not claim nor suggest participation in this questionnaire will result in consideration or award of a federal contract. Participation in the questionnaire is entirely voluntary and non-participation will not affect the consideration of any company for future federal contracts.
