Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience Scope of Work PN: VKAG 01-3004R5, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC Air Traffic Control Tower/Base Operations Complex New construction of an eleven story air traffic control tower. The site is in a high risk zone for other on-going airfield-related operations in associated existing facilities as well as the immediately adjacent active airfield. The tower portion of the project includes erection of complex progressive collapse structural building framing, all dedicated heating ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), emergency auto-start back-up electrical power for multiple functions, dedicated air traffic electronics communications infrastructure, and specialized control tower cab space to accommodate customized installation of new control systems/hardware. This tower has an added degree of complexity in that it is to be constructed as an integral part (within the same building footprint) of a 25,000 square feet base operations facility supporting tower and airfield operations. All other supporting building site improvements and infrastructure are also included. Following acceptance and operational activation of the complex, the project includes demolition of existing air traffic control tower, Radar Approach Control (RAPCON), base operations and related buildings and infrastructure. The new construction must be completed within 540 calendar days of notice to proceed.
