Sierra Army Depot is conducting market research for the requirement of the repair of Panel Chop Saw at Sierra Army Depot. At this time Sierra Army Depot is NOT looking for proposals/quotes. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME. This RFI does not constitute an Invitation for Bid, Request for Proposal or a Request for Quote and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Responses to this RFI are due 16 January 2019, 10:00 am (Pacific Time). Responses are to be sent to Heidi.m.young.civ@mail.mil, melissa.m.kaarbo.civ@mail.mil, Or usarmy.sierra.tacom.mbx.sier-contractingoffers@mail.mil. Further action on this anticipated requirement will be determined following review of the responses from this RFI. Repair will be done to Lauderdale-Hamilton Plywood Chop Saw. MFR: Lauderdale Hamilton Inc, model: TBPS, MFR date: 1996 Estimated usage of saw is 75.4 million cycles, over the last 26 years of operation. Repair shall include the following. Repair or replace worn guides, belts, chains, and gears, tracks, shims, bearings, wiring, belts, chains, and gears PLC. The electric motor repair or replace: all starters, controls, and overloads. Motor inspected for brushes, bushings, switches & relays, circuit breaker(s), fuses, oil seals, rotating mechanisms, windings, starter oil seal(s) repaired or replaced as necessary. Replace cutting table, true the fences so the saw cuts accurate and square. In feed table rollers inspected and replaced if necessary.
