The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a Contractor to provide all equipment, materials and labor associated with the installation and testing of a new fire alarm system for the Lock House at Lock & Dam #2. There is currently no fire alarm system in the structure. The new alarm system shall include (but not limited to) a Fire Alarm and Mass Notification Control Unit (FMCU); smoke, heat, and carbon monoxide detectors; pull stations; audible/visual notification appliances; and primary and auxiliary power supplies. After installation the Contractor shall demonstrate the operability of all functions in the presence of the Lock 2 maintenance staff and the Contracting Officer's Representative, and provide instruction to the Lock 2 maintenance staff on the operation and maintenance of the system and features. This solicitation is a Request for Quote (RFQ), which should result in one firm-fixed price contract. Offeror shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://SAM.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Representations and Certifications section, with the NAICS Code 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. It is preferred that the quote is e-mailed to: John Riederer, Contract Specialist, John.P.Riederer@usace.army.mil This project is 100% set-aside for small business under NAICS 238210. The estimated magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
