The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District requires a contractor to supply one (1) hydraulic construction-type excavator without operator on a rental basis. The Government will use the excavator aboard the Dredge Goetz fleet anchor barge to pull anchors while a replacement winch a-frame system is being fabricated. Please see the SOW for complete specifications, which include: Minimum 270 horsepower. Minimum operating weight of 69,000 lbs. Maximum operating weight of 85,000 lbs. Digging depth of 23-24 feet. Boom reach, 20-21 feet. Standard sand bucket with an anchor-point for connecting a chain. No more than 1,000 operating hours EPA Tier 4 compliant Diesel engine Safety features must include: reverse alarm, rearview camera, lighting for low light conditions, and falling object protective structure/rollover protective structure (FOPS/ROPS) Rental will be for a base period of three months (12 weeks), with up to four additional option periods of one month (4 weeks) each. Rental period shall begin on or before May 16, 2025. OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation. 5/6/2025 -- AMENDMENT 0001 HAS BEEN POSTED. Amendment 0001 removes the Cab maximum height requirement. The amendment also extends the solicitation close date and time. Quotes must now be received no later than 10:00 AM on May 8, 2025.
