GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Operations Section of the US Army Corps of Engineers, St Paul District is solicitating the procurement of #2 Southern White Pine timbers for use on miter gates for the Upper Mississippi River Locks and Dams. Quantity is for Twenty-One (21) pieces 8” x 10” x 20’ and Eighty (80) pieces 6” x 10” x 10’. Delivery FOB Lock and Dam 5A in Fountain City, WI. Delivery is NLT March 7, 2025. 2. SPECIFICATIONS: A. #2 Southern White Pine Dimensions: 6” x 10” x 10’ and 8” x 10” x 20’. Cut tolerance +/- 1” Structural grade Dressed surface, clean cut square edges. Pressure treatment shall be in accordance with AWPA C2 (For Fresh Water Use) with 0.4 water-borne preservative (AWPA P5), except that chromated zinc chlorides, pentachlorophenol-ammoniacal systems, and alkyl ammonium compounds will not be allowed. Each piece of treated lumber or timber shall be branded, by the producer, in accordance with AWPA M6. Include SDS for the pressure treatment 4. DELIVERY AND POINT-OF-CONTACT These units must be delivered no later than March 7, 2025. The quoted price shall be FOB: Destination, with the Contractor responsible for all packaging, shipping and handling costs. Delivery shall be coordinated during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 16:00. No deliveries will be accepted on weekends or federal holidays.
