It is 100% set aside for small business concerns. The Government funding limitation for this construction contract is $6,000,000 and cannot be exceeded. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District (USACE) has a requirement entitled: Lac Qui Parle Emergency Spillway Construction Repair and Temporary Flood Protection USACE intends to issue an Invitation for Bid set aside 100% for a Small Business competition that results in award of one (1) firm-fixed-price contract. Lac Qui Parle (LQP) Emergency Spillway Construction Repair. The LQP Dam is approximately seven (7) Minnesota River miles upstream of Montevideo, in Watson, Chippewa County, Minnesota. The dam embankment and emergency spillway are adjacent to and west of the control structure dam, between the control structure and the intersection of Lac Qui Parle County Road 75. The crest of the spillway is the bituminous paving of Lac Qui Parle County Road 33. Lac Qui Parle Dam is designated as a high hazard dam. The construction project requires, but is not limited to, replacement of the existing grouted riprap with a reinforced concrete spillway slab with upstream and downstream keys and sheetpile cutoff wall, removal and replacement of asphalt surfacing, traffic control, and a temporary flood protection system. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a size standard of $45.0M. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000; however, must not exceed a maximum budgetary amount that will be provided at time of solicitation. The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. This synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St Paul District (USACE) is planning the Lac Qui Parle (LQP) Dam Emergency Spillway Repair Construction project. The LPQ Dam is located on the Minnesota River, 30 miles east of the South Dakota border. While the dam and emergency spillway are located in Lac Qui Parle County, the Minnesota River divides Lac Qui Parle and Chippewa Counties, so Chippewa County is immediately adjacent to the project site. The dam is approximately 7 river miles upstream of Montevideo and 300 river miles upstream of Minneapolis. The dam embankment and emergency spillway are adjacent to and west of the control structure dam, between the control structure and the intersection of Lac Qui Parle County Road 75. The crest of the spillway is the bituminous paving of Lac Qui Parle County Road 33. Lac Qui Parle Dam is designated as a high hazard dam.
